Another amazing race weekend for the Revolutions team. A trip to Cadwell park, a favourite for the drivers and spectators due to the gorgeous scenery, location, history and spectacular track.

We decided to test on the Friday as Elliot had never driven at the circuit before, Russell wanted to familiarise himself further with 99 OK. Tom Dailey also wanted to familiarise himself with the track so opted to test also.

A huge thank you to every one that makes our racing so spectacular; Kennedy Care Group, Bivrost, Highland Smoked Salmon and Paul our race engineer. Without all of these people, our racing success would not be possible. Thank you.

Race 1:
Racing with the MGCC (MG Car Club) we had a 15 minute qualifying and a 30 minute race. This saw Russell Paterson qualify in Pole position with Elliot lining up along side in 2nd. Tom Dailey and Tim Parson both took first place in their class. The racing was fantastic, all of the drivers had a fantastic race and the cars came back in one piece.

Results:
Tom Dailey 1st in class.
Tim Parsons 1st in class.
Russell Paterson 1st overall and 1st in class.
Elliot Paterson 2nd overall and 1st in class.

All with fastest lap and a new lap record of 1:39.0 for Elliot.

Race 2:
Racing with the VSCC (Vintage sports car club) we had a 15 minute qualifying and 20 minute race. Racing with the VSCC is always great fun and has its own quirks. We were held in the holding area before practice for an additional 15 minuted as the marshals “dealt with the oil” fro the previous session. This made the track even more interesting to drive on! This time it was Elliot that took Pole position with Russell along side in 2nd. Tom Dailey was 2nd in class chasing down 1st in class. Tim Parsons managed 1st in class by less than he would have liked but made sure the gap was much larger in the race…… So, the race! As we sat in the holding area before the race, the heavens opened and we were all soaked! The rain was bouncing. This had a massive impact on the results, rain never fails to make an interesting race. Fortunately we are Scottish and are very used the the weather changing so quickly…..

Results:
Tom Dailey 2nd in class.
Tim Parsons 1st in class with fastest lap.
Russell Paterson 1st in class with fastest lap.
Elliot Paterson 1st overall by 46 seconds and 1st in class with fastest lap.

Championship Standings:
Elliot Paterson – 1st overall and 1st in class B with 88 points.
Tim Parsons – 2nd overall and 1st in class R with 86 points.
Tom Dailey – 8th overall and 1st in class H with 42 points.
Russell Paterson – 3rd in class A with 20 points. (Not raced full season).

Another weekend to remember for Revolutions. Bring on Bently Drivers Club in August!
